Don’t you know that China is even more worried about the economic crisis then we are. They’ve been covering it up but what do you think will happen when they start lay offs? They already worried about social unrest with millions are layed off of their factory jobs. America is having economic problems, well most Asian countries are already in recession as well as Japan. Soon all you people who think China is just the number one lately will see exactly what happens to them when we stop buying their toys.

This is the mythology of “Free Trade,” when true American-Keynesian economics has been left by the wayside.

  16. Coriolanus Says:

I dunno. You should ask all the Republicans cheering on corporations who decide to move their manufacturing and operations to China.

  17. just plain jim Says:

China has a vested interest to help American be economically strong.
If that was not the case, who is going to buy their products if they are on a quest to bury other economies?

    Look at it this way:
A drug dealer needs addicts to buy their product to survive
Would it make economic sense to kill them all?

    Peace
    Jim

It’s being bought piecemeal, foreign ownership in america is rampant and a side effect to the politics of what has been dubbed by leaders of the past- particularly conservatives as ‘incentives promote foreign investment”

Shopping at Walmart really does have a huge hidden cost.

  19. kikoman Says:

Bush borrowed $2 billion a day for three years from China, Japan and Saudi Arabia,
We own China $1 trillion of our National debt .

You can thank Bush for that.
